Budapest: StarKing, one of Hungary’s largest Apple Premium Resellers (APR), welcomes its customers with a new look and a new name from today. StarKing has rebranded to iCentre following the recent change in ownership, and now bears a look identical to the iCentre stores operated by the Maltese owner, Hili Salomone Ltd.

Hili Salomone Ltd, a joint venture between Hili Company and VJ Salomone, two major trading groups headquartered in Malta, acquired StarKing in August 2013. The APR operates three stores in Budapest’s main malls Aréna, Allee and MOM Park, and has an annual turnover of 1.5 billion Hungarian forint.

The rebrand to iCentre is part of a wider strategy that includes a comprehensive expansion plan for the chain. Hili Salomone Ltd plans to establish iCentre’s regional headquarters in Hungary from where it will map its long-term vision to open new stores around Europe, increase market share, and maximize sales growth.

“We have a long-term concept based on our Hungarian APR network,” Hili Salomone Ltd chairman Austin Gatt said. „We plan to consolidate our presence in Hungary with a regional centre which will be at the core of our expansion plans.”

iCentre boasts expert teams able to help customers choose their new Apple device, including iPhone, iPod, iPad, MacBook and Apple accessories. Home users, professionals, and businesses learn how they can get the best from their Apple device, software and apps in-store. Under Apple’s mandate to its partners to operate a unified design, iCentre guarantees customers are welcomed with the same premium service by store professionals in Hungary and abroad.

“The iCenter team possesses wide knowledge of the brand and of the exceptional functionality of each device,” iCentre managing director Zoltán Sándor said. „All iCenters provide a premium user’s experience before, during, and after purchase.”

To celebrate its new look, iCentre is giving a 15% discount on the 13-inch MacBook Air for one day only on November 5. Between November 5 and 12, all purchases made with the iCentre card (which replaces the StarKing loyalty card) will be discounted by 5%. Over the next few months, iCentre will notify customers about personalized offers and incentives.
